Beautiful Mind

The Mind
Any State or activity of rational consciousness; also a collective name
for all rationally conscious powers, states, and activities.
In philosophy the mind is commonly identified with the intellect
as recipient of knowledge.

Knowledge
Any act, function, state or effect of mental activity.  Essential to
knowledge is that some reality from outside the mind is represented
in the mind by what is called an intentional likeness or similarity to
the object known.  Knowledge, therefore, is assimilation of mind with object.  As a result there is an
intentional (assimilative) union between knower and known.  We become what we know.

                                                                               Learning
Knowledge or skill acquired by study and practice.  In the language of scholastic philosophy, learning from education, which requires another person to impart the knowledge and which involves a mental
or moral development of the person educated.  Learning directly pertains to what is acquired;  edu-
cation rather pertains to who is developed.

It is very important to know that the knowledge you are obtaining is Truthful. How could  we possibly count on that in this broken world? That's why when God says to
"pray unceasingly" it is another situation in which I'm sure He had in Mind.
Pray before you seek knowledge, pray before you open a book, magazine,
internet etc. Pray, Pray, Pray!  and it doesn't have to be lengthy.  This is what I
try to say, depending on the situation.  "Lord thank you for my mind.  Fill it with Truth and Charity. Lead me away from any info that is not good for me, Amen."  Sometimes
I'm in a hurry and I say,"Give me a red flag Lord!" And then after your prayer,
 exert your Faith!
You get the picture- you are smart!
